Score One for Free Speech

Eliminating "Pornography on the Web" has been an issue for politicians; an issue for the vocal minority but certainly not for those that spend Billions on-line in sex related websites. While I agree that there is content on line that should not be viewed by minors, I don't agree that congress has the right to ban the content completely. Apparently lots of people feel that way. The 1998 Child Online Protection Act (COPA) is Congress' second attempt to limit internet content. COPA has never been fully enacted and it feel off the the radar for most - that is until last year. Fortunately for all us, the most recent attempt to censor internet content was squashed but there is still reason to be concerned.

For more be sure to read the article and in particular the heading "What if the Bush administration wins?"
